A Book by a Different Cover: Trident

A Book by a Different Cover: Trident

by Jim Toes

Last week, the STA hosted a Round Table and invited an author who has spoken at previous events. This author has never appeared on 60 Minutes and while he fears no “Wolf”, no movies have been made about him yet….which hopefully will change because he is more handsome than Leo. This man is Jason Redman and he carries a message for all. A message that is forged from his very personal, very deep and very honest self reflection after a near-death experience in 2007. In his book, Trident, Jason shares his never quit story and offers simple words of wisdom, which we all should try to incorporate into our lives. But it is his honesty which resonates with all who meet him and have the privilege to be in his company.

“Jason Redman…carries a message that is forged from his very personal, very deep and very honest self reflection after a near-death experience in 2007”

The STA is an association which exists to serve individuals. Our service is not limited to education on market structure issues. Mind, Body and Soul all need our attention.  So we hope you’ll take a moment to read Trident. You will be touched by the words of decorated US Navy SEAL who served his country courageously and with distinction.

We thank for Jason for his service to our country, protecting our freedom and way of life, but most of all, we thank him for coming home alive. Jason’s mission in life is not done. There is more for this SEAL to do and we will all the better for it.

At the end of Trident, Jason offers the reader six tenets he has come to live his life by. I will share with you my favorite. If you want to know the other five, then buy the book Here

Love Deeply…in the end the only thing you will have left are the relationships your forged and sustained in life -Jason Redman

“There already are many books on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There will be more, including by those who experienced the fire of combat. This story, though is not just about a SEAL on the Iraqi battlefield, but a SEAL at war with himself and his ultimate victory. I believe his story will inspire the reader, just as it did me”.

-Robert Gates, former US Secretary of Defense
