Volunteer for the 2018 Special Olympics Northern California

SFSTA has been involved with this event for over 10 years! As a volunteer of this exciting event, you will help setup and breakdown equipment, cheer on athletes and commandeer various events where assistance is needed. Help us raise awareness for Special Olympics by inviting friends, colleagues and family members to participate. Middle and high schoolers who need community service credits are encouraged to volunteer as well.

We welcome volunteers ages 13 and older. Volunteers ages 9 and older would need to have an adult partner for the day.

Special Olympics will have more than 300 athletes from all over Northern California participating.

Athletes, ranging in age from 8 to 48 years, are invited from the counties of Humboldt, Lake, Del Norte, Napa, Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Alameda and San Mateo to compete and receive awards.  Some will even qualify for competing in the Summer State Games!
