Tomorrow is Veterans Day. The one day of the year when we come together as a nation to honor those who have served our country and protected its way of life.
There are many of us, like myself, who have not served in the armed forces and honoring our nation’s veterans is something we do more than one day a year. The honor, which we bestowed is well deserved because veterans truly represent what is best in our country. They are patriots who answered a call to serve.
The decade of war and conflict since the attacks of 9/11 has left tens of thousands of our nation’s veterans in need of help. Fortunately, there are many good associations dedicated to this cause. Today, we ask that you make a donation to the association you feel closest to. In other words, answer the call to help those who helped us. Leave no veteran behind.
For the STA, we will be making a donation to the Semper Fi Fund. A fund that was founded in 2004 and is run by a handful of staff who work tirelessly to support our nation’s veterans. Since inception, Semper Fi Fund has issued more than 99,500 grants worth more than $150 million to 14,600 families of our nation’s veterans.
Please consider Semper Fi Fund in your selection process, but most of all, just give.
